What is Release ?

Release is a practical evangelism training resource designed to motivate, equip and mobilise people to confidently, joyfully and effectively participate in the Great Commission.

The four aims of the conference are to:

  • Clearly define the Gospel.
  • Redefine the meaning of evangelism.
  • Provide practical tools that enable people to spread the Gospel message.
  • Encourage and motivate people to get involved in the Great Commission.
This we Believe conference 2000 was Attended by 229 of the world’s top Bible scholars and leaders including: Dr J.I Packer, Bill Hybels, R.C Sproul, Ravi Zacharias, Billy Graham, Jack Hayford, Don Carson to name a few.  One of the aims of the conference was to determine what the Bible really teaches about ‘evangelism’ and ‘the Gospel’.  The Release conference aims to do this also, defining words and meaning clearly which allows us as a church to be pushing in the same direction.

We also believe that the Bible teaches that there is real joy in spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ, we want Christians to feel this joy and be released from feelings of guilt and condemnation when it comes to evangelism. Charles Spurgeon once said

“Even if I were utterly selfish and had no care for anything but my own happiness I would choose, if I might, under God, to be a soul winner, for never did I know perfect, overflowing unutterable happiness of the purest and most ennobling order, till I first heard of one who had sought and found the Saviour through my means.  I recollect the thrill of joy that went through me!  No young mother ever rejoiced so much over her first born child, no warrior was so exultant over a hard won victory!”

We want people who attend the Release Conference to walk away saying the same thing, we are pleased to report they so often do.
